UNIQUE VINTAGE ERA FRAME

CO2 REDUCED LENSES BY ZEISS ITALY

1 OF 1 REFASHIONED IN SAN DIEGO

[CAUTION! LENS NOT SUITABLE FOR DRIVING]

DESIGNER: United optical
DECADE: 80s    ORIGIN: Italy
LENS, BRIDGE, ARM (MM): 47, 21,

#010 is my pair. The first ever vintage frames fit with ROSEYS rose colored lenses. When I found my first trusted vintage collector, my first request was for gold round frames. The classic shape that sparked the brand in 2017 and continued as ROSEYS signature look in our Alpha and Beta test collections.

These frames have been fit with three different lens iterations 1) a sample from our San Diego Optical Team 2) the first custom sample by ZEISS, fit during our meeting at their factory and 3) the final ROSEYS lens.

In August 2023, the final lenses arrived from Italy and 105 vintage frames were being fit by our Optical Team in San Diego. The day I visited, I asked to see the lens cutting process and it just so happen mine were next in line.

PROTOTYPE BATCH

PROTOTYPES (008-012)

This pair is 1 of 6 vintage frames from the first batch of prototypes created for The Experiment.

After researching the world's most esteemed vintage sunglasses collectors, I found a long established team based in the UK. We had a virtual meeting and in December 2023 I selected 21 unique frames spanning the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. This was the first batch selected to be fit with prototype rose colored lenses. They traveled to Europe and back to meet ROSEYS' new lens and frame partners in person.
